Prevention and Lifestyle Support

National Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP)

A free lifestyle change programme for those at risk of type 2 diabetes. Local groups meet in Bridport and Lyme Regis, with a digital app option available. Referral is via the GP Social Prescribing Team or directly with Live Well Taking Control.

Live Well Dorset

Support with weight loss, physical activity, quitting smoking and reducing alcohol. Free coaching and ‘kick start’ vouchers for Second Nature, Slimming World and Weight Watchers are available.

Local Support

Bridport Area Diabetes Peer to Peer Support Group

Meets monthly on the 1st Tuesday, 3.30 – 5pm, WI Hall, North Street, Bridport. A welcoming space to share experiences, learn, and support each other.
