Family Hubs

Family Hubs are a single place to get support for children, young people and families. They offer drop-in sessions where you can seek advice from a trained family worker, plus a range of support from general advice to parenting classes.

Family Help (Dorset Council)

For younger children (under 11), a whole-family approach is often the most effective way to support struggles with emotional regulation and challenging behaviours. To access Family Help, an assessment is required.

Home-Start Wessex

A team of parents who understand the challenges families face. Specially trained volunteers visit you at home for 2–4 hours a week to offer an extra pair of hands and a listening ear.

Steps2Wellbeing – Mum’s Matter (for new mums)

A course focused on overcoming the emotional challenges of parenthood using CBT principles. You can self refer over the phone or on the wesbite.
