For 16- 18year olds

This team supports young people aged 16 to 18 (up to the September after they are 18) who live in Dorset and who are not in employment, education or training (NEET).  They can help young people find into further education, employment and training.

For People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Dorset Council

Dorset Council can support young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan up to the age of 25.  They can support with finding further education, employment or training.

Bridport JobCentre Plus

If you have a health condition or a disability that affects your ability to work, JobCentre Plus offers a service for disabled workers by putting them in touch with a Disability Employment Advisor (DEA). Lisa Kobutr-Spearing is the Disability Employment Adviser at Bridport 

SEND4  

SEND4 supported employment is designed to assist individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment find and maintain paid employment in integrated settings.  Individuals receive ongoing support and assistance from trained professionals who can help with job searches, confidence building and interview preparation.

Steps2Wellbeing Employment advice service

An employment service is available to people who have been referred or have referred themselves to Steps2Wellbeing for mental health support in Dorset.  Steps2Wellbeing can support you to stay in or return to work because it is recognised that working can have a positive impact for some people who experience mental health challenges. Dorset Work Matters

For people currently accessing NHS Community Mental Health services. You may be referred by your case worker or you can self-refer for help seeking work, writing a cv, retraining and more. Find out more on their website.
